Run through the diverse woods and shade hammocks of Gator Wilderness Camp School grounds, situated on 250 pristine acres. Come enjoy the beautiful scenery while testing your skill and stamina in a 5k, 10k, or 15k race on one of the best trail courses in Southwest Florida. Each year Gator Wilderness Camp School hosts an annual Turkey in the Hole Thanksgiving celebration at Gator Wilderness Camp. Tours of campsite are given in the morning, followed by a short program with the campers. We have fresh apple cider, fresh homemade donuts from the famous Amish Baking Company, bacon on a stick and more! A traditional Thanksgiving lunch is served and then an auction concludes the day. Auction items include donated items by individuals and also crafts that campers and staff have made. All proceeds from the day benefit Gator Wilderness Camp School.
